Technology and Engineering

I joined the build team as a assistant teacher because I am a big fan of the custom bike building shows like "Orange County Choppers."  I thought my previous experience as a motorcycle technician might assist the team.  I also thought that this would be a great opportunity to learn about new technologies and to see students in a different light.

So far, being part of the build team has been a very valuable learning experience.  I learned how to use the new computer programs and equipment as well as how to teach my students about new technology.  I have also learned that each member has very unique talents and character traits that make being part of this team fun and make building a motorcycle possible.  Some team members are very efficient on machinery like the metal lathe and the mill or calculating angles and bending pipe.  I really look forward to working with this team and watching both the motorcycle and the team members develop.
