A Trip To
The
Miller Plant
As the corporate sponsor for all teams of the Mini-Chopper Build, Miller allowed the teams to experience a day at their plant. They gave the teams the opportunity to weld some things of their own and see all the welding machines out there for use. It was a great experience and as Kyle Olson put it they have "top of the line facilities".
Touring:
Spending a full day at Miller, the mini-chopper teams were split up into two groups for some tours. One of tours was about the welding process at the company. They got to view all the different welding equipment. The other tour was the engineering tour.
Learning:
As the teams arrived at Miller, they went into a conference room to learn about what was going to happen throughout the day. After taking their tours, they went into another conference room and talked about the design process, planning, and the software used in the designing process.
Working:
As part of the tour, the guys were able to weld themselves and experience using the machinery available at Miller.
