Painting
One of the final steps in the building of bike, is to paint it. First the team had to prime it and then they could begin the actual painting, with the colors they had chosen for their bike. Our team's colors were blue and white to go along with the school's colors.
Amount of Coats:
The team first had to put 4-5 coats on of primer. Then after the primer, they put on 2 coats of the blue paint. Then finally they applied 5 coats of clear to give the paint a shiny and metallic look. Drying time was just overnight.
